AlyssaThere’s a new (kind of) coffee shop in town that will leave you feeling refreshed and happy. Revolucion Coffee + Juice recently upgraded it’s Alamo Heights location on Broadway by moving a few doors down to a much larger space. With two trips in one week, I have fallen in love with the openness and simplicity of the beautiful health spot.
The former home of a night club has been beautifully transformed with white walls, clean angles and chill wave music. I frequent coffee shops that give me numerous choices on where to lounge depending on my mood for the day, one of the reasons why I’m loving Revolucion. Revolucion features three large community tables, benches decorated with colorful pillows against the wall, a sidebar alongside open windows and a couple of little nooks.
Revolucion offers coffee, cold pressed juice, homemade nut milks, acai and pitaya bowls, and other healthy food options including tacos (yes, tacos!) and tamales. Pictured above is my favorite PB&J acai bowl.
The local coffee and juice bar has piled up quite the impressive list of firsts in San Antonio including the first establishment to offer cold pressed juice, the first and only 100% vegeterian coffee shop, and the first to offer acai & pitaya bowls.
