San Antonio, Texas now has 20 official water distribution sites!

Seven free water distribution locations in San Antonio opened Friday, February 19th at noon.

Distribution hours will be from 8am to 6pm daily until the water system is safely restored. Each person may have five gallons of water. Please bring containers such as jugs to hold water. Also, please do not forget to boil all water before drinking or cooking.

There are also now officially 13 free bottled water distribution locations in San Antonio.

The bottled water distribution sites will be open daily from 8am to 5pm through March 6th and residents will be able to pick up one case of bottled water per day per household. These locations were chosen because they are within the closest proximity to areas of the city that are still facing water outages. Again, please do not forget to boil all water before drinking or cooking.

I took a poll on Twenty Something SA’s Instagram and so far the poll states that 15% of 600 people still do not have water. Any percentage is too much.

When I listened to the emergency City of San Antonio council meeting this week, I witnessed firsthand how unprepared SAWS and CPS were. Thankfully, after Ron Nirenberg and our city council members finally came together, many began seeing impactful changes within 24 hours. This is the importance of community and making sure we elect proactive leaders this May. General elections for the City are May 1st and early elections take place April 19-27th. Don’t worry, I’ll guide you along the way.

Stay safe, everyone.
