Getting tired of your same routine with your dog? Change it up!  There are plenty of establishments in San Antonio that are dog friendly and allow you to bring your dog in. Below we’ve compiled a list including places you can eat, drink, and just relax with your K9 companion. As always, please be mindful and aware of your dogs personality and tendencies.

The Blue Star Complex including Blue Star Provisions and Halcyon are a great place to stop by on your stroll along the Riverwalk with your dog. If you and your dog are on the go – stop by Blue Star Provisions and pick up some items on your grocery list. If you’re looking more to relax and grab a cup of coffee – Halcyon is your place to chill. Both are dog friendly and suit either vibe you and your dog share that day.

Burleson Yard Beer GardenLocated at 430 Austin St. right around the corner from the Hays Street Bridge, The Burleson Yard Beer Garden offers over 50 different types of beer whether it be on draft, in a bottle or in a can. The yard has tons of outside seating for you and Sparky, but don’t worry if the Texas heat gets to you both, there are shaded areas and plenty of seating inside. This place is seriously huge. With a wide variety of seating: from barstools to picnic tables to hammocks. There’s plenty of room for you and your pup to hang out. Also Burleson Yard provides doggie bags around the area, so keep it clean!

Tycoon Flats - Dog Friendly

Tycoon Flats, located on 2926 N. St. Mary’s, is a restaurant and beer garden offering tasty burgers, refreshing beer, and a dog friendly atmosphere. Catch the Spurs game, enjoy some food and meet some other dog owners in the area. There’s plenty of shade and seating for all.

Northwest Happy Hours - Hills & DalesIf you’re living on the Northside of town and in need a dog friendly hang out spot, Hills & Dales Icehouse is where it’s at. What better dog friendly place than that which is run by The Friendly Spot? With 54 different beers on tap, yes FIFTY-FOUR, you’re bound to find a new favorite Texas or local Alamo city brew. Check Twitter to see what daily specials they are offering. Catch the playoffs and root the Spurs on with Hills & Dales’ Slab Cinema screen out on their front lawn. There’s plenty of outdoor seating to catch a game. Also, food trucks walking distance away. Can it get better than this?
