Beer enthusiasts unite. The Growler Exchange is an upcoming bar located at 8313 Broadway where you can stop by to fill up a Growler (64 oz bottle) of your favorite Texas craft beer, enjoy a fresh pint, or taste over 20 brews from across the country on tap that rotate regularly. This will soon be your favorite place to converse with beer connoisseurs young and old about hops, favorite brews, brewing techniques and everything in between. Don’t be discouraged if you’re new to the brew, The Growler’s friendly staff are bound to help you explore and learn something new!
Southern Star’s Buried Hatchet Stout Nitro from Conroe, TX
Over the bar hangs a helpful live update of the kegs in stock and how much is left. Along with the brewery the craft beer hails from, you can also find where it’s brewed, what kind of brew it is (IPA, Stout, Ale, etc), the IBU (International Bitterness Unit), AND it’s alcohol content. Growler has 24 taps, mostly reigning from Texas territory including brews from Austin, Goliad, Houston, Conroe, Katy and of course representing Freetail, Branchline, and Saint Arnold from here in SA. The Growler Exchange has a revolving number of different craft beers, so make sure to check what they have currently on tap here!

Code Red Tuesdays – Discounted red level kegs
Wild Wednesdays – 20% off wine, cans & bottles of beer
Texas Thursdays – $1 off Texas pints on tap, or fill a Growler to get $2 off any Texas beer on tap
Freedom Fridays – 3 beers on special chosen tastefully by the bartender
Slamdown Saturdays – $15 buckets of beer
Refill Sundays – Fill your personal Growler to take home for 10% or if you have more than one, the higher the discount!
With specials like these, The Growler Exchange is the perfect place to grab a group of friends, explore some new Texas brews, watch the Spurs game, and learn something new about craft beers. They also have a large outdoor patio where you are free to bring any outside food to grub on. The Growler Exchange is open Monday – Thursday 3pm – 12am, Friday – Saturday 12pm – 12am and Sundays from 12pm – 10pm. As always, please drink responsibly.
