Prove your humanity

Your favorite Culinaria tradition, Restaurant Week, is back starting August 12th. Not only is Culinaria about fabulous culinary creations, but it’s also a time for our favorite local chefs and restaurants in San Antonio, as well as our favorites in Boerne and New Braunfels, to serve Culinaria’s outreach initiatives.

The pre-fixed menus for Restaurant Week include three course meals at either $10 or $15 for lunch, and $25 or $35 for dinner. Below are some of our tried and true restaurants to visit from the Restaurant Week list.

BotikaBotika – reservation recommended
Tier 1
Throughout 2017 the twenty something team has raved about Botika’s brunch, outdoor patio, and unique menu items. Located at Pearl, be sure to visit Botika if you’re craving Chinese-Peruvian and Japanese-Peruvian cuisines.

Shuck ShackShuck Shack
Tier 1
Located on Grayson Street, Shuck Shack is perfect for oysters, lobster, and a refreshing cocktail. Jacqueline and Alyssa just visited this gem and tried items likes the spicy fish tacos that come with market fish, cucumbers, carrots, Thai basil, jalapeños, kewpie mayo, and a fish sauce vinaigrette topped with Sriracha.

Hop And Vine SaladHop & Vine
Tier 1
If you live near the Alamo Ranch area and don’t feel like driving downtown to indulge in the culinary festival – we have good news! Hop & Vine, located 5619 West Loop 1604 North, will be participating as well! Hop & Vine features great craft beer, wine and modern comfort food.

Sukeban Champagne DinnerSukeban
Tier 1
Located in Southtown, Sukeban serves up sushi and champagne unlike anyone else in town! If you’re looking for a fancy night out with a fellow sashimi lover, this is our recommendation.

The Fruteria
Tier 2
Another one of our favorites is the The Fruteria on S. Flores St. The Chef Johnny Hernandez restaurant features items such as the tequila fundido – a cast iron grilled panela cheese with a tequila fruit compote – and tacos pescado a la plancha with a chipotle crema, cabbage escabeche, avocado, cilantro, and red onion. Since The Fruteria is a tier 2 restaurant – lunch is only $10!

5 Points Local5 Points Local
Tier 2
If you’re looking to eat clean during Restaurant Week, 5 Points Local is your spot. Not only does the restaurant serve delicious gluten-free treats and coffee, but it also houses a yoga studio.

Cafe Dijon Sandwich TrioCafe Dijon
Tier 2
We love Cafe Dijon’s Open Sandwich Trio and were thrilled to see they will be participating in Restaurant Week! Stop by if you’re craving French fare.

Larder
Tier 2
Last year our favorite Restaurant Week spot was Larder, the cafe located inside Hotel Emma. The $10 lunch included your choice of sandwich (all of which will tempt you to step up your sandwich game at home), a bag of chips and an ice cold Topo Chico.

San Antonio Restaurant Week will take place from August 12th to August 26th. Make sure to look at Culinaria’s full list of participating restaurants as well as menus. Comment below to let us know which ones you try!
