Moms are the best. They provide for us and care for us more than we realize, so this post is to celebrate you, Moms of San Antonio! Take a look at the numerous restaurants that will also be honoring mothers this weekend.
Bakery Lorraine, located in the heart of Pearl, will have special pastries available on Mother’s Day including heart shaped pop tarts, homemade and filled with love and strawberry jam, and raspberry rose japonaise macaroon filled with raspberry rose mascarpone cream and fresh raspberries. They will also have flower bouquets for sale from Vintage Heart Farm. All bouquets are hand tied and wrapped with ribbon. Stop in on Mother’s Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for these sweet treats.
Boudro’s Chef Robbie Nowlin will be cooking up dishes for moms and their families such as piquillo pepper and parsnip bisque, tomato salad with Gorgonzola cheese and basil, pan seared Alaskan halibut, and caramel pecan cake. Yum! To top it off, all moms will receive a rose with their brunch. Boudro is located at 421 E Commerce St. near the river walk.
Southerleigh in the Pearl is usually closed on Sunday’s, but this Sunday they will be celebrating Mother’s Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a special brunch menu and each mom at brunch will be offered a complimentary mimosa.
Brigid, located at 803 S St Mary’s St., will be honoring mothers by opening for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. The restaurant will also be offering a prix fix 3-course menu during dinner for $75. The menu options will include spring pea tarragon soup, or strawberry balsamic frisee for the first course; smoked duck breast with prosciutto risotto, or poached arctic char with cucumber and beet salad, or Seared sous vide beef tenderloin with pomme anna for the second course; opera cake, or Bandera blueberry and peach cobbler for the third course.
Supper at Hotel Emma will be open for all three meals this Mother’s Day: breakfast at 7 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m., and dinner at 5 p.m. Supper will also be offering complimentary glasses of champagne to all mothers coming into the restaurant on Mother’s Day.
For Mother’s Day this year, Nao Latin Gastro Bar will be serving up a sweet and savory platter (Bandeja’s) along with their regular a la carte brunch menu – each platter feeds two to three people. The savory platter is $50 per person and will include a variety of items such as sirloin, scrambled eggs, roasted vegetables, chimichurri, and more. The sweet platter is $35 per platter and will include items such as torrejas, stewed sweet plantains, churros, sweet cream, and more! Also, each mother will receive a red rose from the restaurant upon arrival.
Treat mom to a nice country-style brunch at Grayze in the Pearl and enjoy a meal full of brisket hash, mac n cheese, cranberry brown sugar French toast, candied bacon and maple sausage, fruit crumble, citrus cured gravlax, carnitas migas and more!
Sukeban, located at 1420 S Alamo St., will be serving up chicken and waffles, Japanese crepes, tuna fish sandwiches, ramen, Japanese donuts and, of course, champagne all day long for Mother’s Day. Prices range depending on the meal.
