Wine and beer lovers can come together under one roof at the new restaurant Hop & Vine, located at 5619 W Loop 1604. Yesterday marked Hop & Vine’s soft opening bringing locally owned business to Alamo Ranch.
Hop & Vine’s welcoming atmosphere makes you want to spend hours drinking wine and catching up with friends as if you were in your own home. In addition to modern comfort food, they offer a selection of 16 craft beer options and 13 wines ranging from sweet whites to bold reds.
We started out choosing the vineyard salad made with field greens, candied pecans, seasonal berries, and tossed in vinaigrette. The fried chicken was a recommended dish for the main course served with mashed potatoes topped with gravy. Last but probably at the top of the list, our drink choices for the night were Texas Keeper No. 1 Cider, and VINO Rosé.
Hop & Vine is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday from 4 to 11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 10 am to 6 p.m. (We hear they have brunch!) Stay tuned to their website for their grand opening announcement!
