Can you think of anything better than a 9-acre water park in the Hill Country? Currently the weather is a bit off for late March, but when those high temperatures hit, water parks will be a safe haven. The JW Marriott Hill Country Resort, located at 23808 Resort Pkwy., has extended its 6-acre water park with a lazy river and adult-only infinity pool to 9-acres including two 47-foot high water slides! Get ready for a summer of fun.
The five-month project adds three acres to the water park which includes two thrilling 47-foot high body slides, an additional 130-foot long beach-entry pool, 70 by 35 foot sand play area, large whirlpool spa, a new 13,000 square foot multiuse pavilion area for additional indoor and outdoor function space, private cabanas, 230 additional lounge chairs and artificial turf lawn space. Yup, this was no small upgrade.
The ribbon cutting ceremony and expansion grand opening for JW Marriott’s official opening of its $16 million expansion took place on Tuesday, March 29th. Along with the ribbon cutting, Jacqueline and I experienced watching the first sliders go down the massive new water slides, aerial yoga from Aerial Yoga Boerne, a Zentangle art class and much more.
Water parks not your thing? The JW Marriott also features a 36-hole TPC San Antonio golf course,Lantana Spa, seven restaurants and 265,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space.
