I’m not one for New Years Resolutions, but I do believe mental and physical health is vital for success in any aspect of your life. That’s why starting January 4, 2016 I will participate in JoyRide’s New Year 4-Week Challenge. JoyRide Cycling Studio is San Antonio’s premier fitness boutique dedicated to calorie-torching, endorphin-surged, and high-energy indoor cycling. If you’re looking for a way to connect your mind and body, read more!
JoyRide’s challenge begins January 4th and lasts through January 29th. The cycling challenge is free with the purchase of a 10-pack of classes. Along with working out in a high-intensity, fun environment, New York Nutritionist Ilanit Blumenfeld will supervise nutritional meal plans during the challenge! That’s right – working out and learning to eat right! To receive meal plans, contestants must participate in at least four cycle classes and/or studio classes every week during the challenge.
There will be an optional, private weigh-in on the first day and on the last day of the challenge to track weight loss. Personally, I will not be weighing in because I’m not a fan of scales, but it’s a great opportunity during the challenge to see your hard work in the form of numbers. A winner will be announced at the end of the challenge and will receive three complimentary counseling sessions with Nutritionist Ilanit Blumenfeld to maintain a healthy goal throughout the year, as well as other prizes. To be considered for the grand prize, participants must partake in the optional one-on-one weigh-ins.
JoyRide has two San Antonio locations at Broadway and Alon. Both studios are stadium-tiered with 35 top-of-the-line bikes each, state-of-the-art sound systems and ventilation, and free parking. The facilities also offer towel service, a water bottle filling station, and men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers.
