Prove your humanity

PearlChristmasLightsIn recent years the Pearl Brewery has quickly become one of my favorite spots around town. From strolling through the Saturday morning farmer’s market to enjoying a refreshing scoop of ice cream at Lick, there is something for everyone. However, for those of us who are over 21, the happy hours are particularly appealing. Now, all you have to do is decide which one to try first!

Our first stop is at The Boiler House. With wines as cheap as $5, beers starting at $3, $5 cocktails, and a variety of snacks, this is definitely a great choice for anyone wanting to grab a few, well-priced drinks. Happy hour lasts from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Next up, Cured offers half-price house cocktails, which pair perfectly with a charcuterie board. A great thing about this happy hour is that is also available on the weekend, something we don’t usually see. Stop by anytime between 3 and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The Granary

Another great choice is The Granary ‘Cue and Brew. With slightly later hours it is great for those who are coming from work or don’t live close by. Available at its bar Monday through Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m., The Granary has plenty of drink options and shareables to keep everyone happy!

NaoIf you’re looking to add a little spice to your day, we might recommend Nao Latin Gastro Bar. Nao offers a variety of cocktails, wines, and beers that match the cheery and exciting Latin theme. Along with drink specials, Nao offers ceviche del dia for $7, arepas con pato (duck, arugula, pickles, hot pepper sauce) for $7, anticuchos (lamb skewers) for $7, and fried pork skins for $3! Make sure to visit Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 5:30 and 7 p.m. to try the drinks and maybe a small plate or two.

Grayze

Our last stop is just a short walk down Grayson street to Grayze. With plenty of outdoor space and a nice bar, this is a great spot no matter the weather (which for anyone who has live in Texas knows can be quite temperamental). Make sure to drop by anytime between 3 and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for a new take on some old favorites.

With so many options already in the Pearl and new restaurants coming soon, we hope this helps you narrow down your search for a great happy hour. Let us know which ones you have tried and loved, or if you have any favorites that we haven’t mentioned, in the comments below!
