Sunday afternoon at NoFi, a new slow bar with no WiFi password and no coffee to go, and the space is overflowing with human conversation and laughter. Oh yeah, leave the laptop at home, pack your favorite journal or book, call a friend and slow it down. We’re going back to the 1990s baby. Well, there were not this many coffee shop options in the nineties, so I guess this truly is a new era!
NoFi Slow Bar offers a rotating coffee menu for pour over, espresso, espresso with milk (cortado or cappuccino), as well as tea service. The extensive coffee menu details the brand name, coffee name, country of origin, region of origin, as well as how the coffee was processed. I would not dare call myself a coffee expert. Thankfully, NoFi features the tasting notes as well.
The owners of NoFi also operate Bright Coffee, a multi-roaster coffee shop and communal space that features rotating art. While Bright offers lattes in a multitude of flavors, NoFi does not offer any syrups, allowing you to truly taste the coffee.
“Welcome to NoFi. No takeout or WiFi here. Just a tranquil space where you can escape the noise and enjoy an extended moment of bliss. We aim to provide a soothing ambiance where flavor and intention are at the forefront. Cheers.”
In an era where so many of us are in need for connection, NoFi provides a space that encourages you to truly focus on what matters – friends, a good book, and incredible coffee.
NoFi Slow Bar is located at 819 Fredericksburg Rd. and currently open Thursday through Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
