We’ve had Smoke on our places to eat list for quite a while now. In honor of San Antonio Restaurant Week, we drove to Stone Oak with our taste buds anticipating some hardcore BBQ.
Located at 700 E Sonterra Blvd., Smoke resides in a stylish shopping complex and features a plethora of unique menu items. Deviled eggs topped with brisket immediately caught our attention when we received the extensive BBQ menu and we ordered them just as quickly.
If you follow us on Snapchat (TwentySA!), you probably saw a beautiful fried egg covered in chipotle aioli. That alone is amazing, but Smoke piles on tater tots and brisket on the miniature skillet before topping it off with the gorgeous egg.
Smoke perfectly listed those menu items as snacks on their menu because they knew if you were coming in to eat BBQ, you surely were going to chow down.
Jacqueline ordered pulled pork and slaw on a Hawaiian roll, also known as the Philthy Little Sliders, with a side of house cut fries. THE FRIES. This is where it’s at. Order yourself a couple sides of fries and thank us later.
I guess I’m still daydreaming about holiday food because I ordered the open faced Thanksgiving sandwich with smoked turkey, charred sweet potato, colonel mustard, cranberries and cornbread dressing. It was as if I was back in the holiday daze.
We’re not going to lie to you all. This is not all we ordered. We also ordered wild berry cobbler and brownie with a hint of spice. All of this came out to $48! Quite the deal for a three course meal for two people.
