Prove your humanity

A straight drive down I-10 will lead you directly to Boerne’s Hill Country Mile, a mile long strip mall featuring boutiques, restaurants and bars. We visited the Hill Country Mile to scope out the best Boerne patios to lounge at this summer!

boerne-patios-001 I was excited to check out Peggy’s on the Green because I have yet to visit the raved about Boerne restaurant. The interior features a completely different vibe than the back patio. While the restaurant itself features numerous dining tables with wine glasses ready to be filled with your favorite Pinot, the patio outside is open, breezy and features couches, tables and picnic tables. In the picture above you’ll see XL couches surrounding the fire pit – perfect for drinks with the squad!

boerne-patios-004 If you’re looking to relax and gaze upon nature, head to the picnic tables overlooking the gorgeous Hill Country.

cibolo-creek-boerne-2After indulging in a tasty martini and jumbo shrimp cocktail at Peggy’s, I was ready for our next spot! Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. features a large front patio with umbrellas to shield you from the Texas heat while the back patio is more relaxed and has large fans blowing above you to keep you (and your beer flight) cool.

boerne-patios-002The final patio I checked out on Boerne’s Hill County Mile – Salvador DOBBS – was my absolute favorite because there’s an outdoor table that has swings instead of chairs. Yes, swings! I spent quite a bit of time swinging to and from the table while the Boerne breeze hit my skin. The experience was new and exciting and takes swinging with friends to a new, PG level.

boerne-patios-003Venture outside the San Antonio city limit this summer to Boerne’s Hill Country Mile for a fun day trip where every bar is within a few minutes from each other.
