Prove your humanity

This historic section of San Antonio’s East Side is a centerpiece of the area for dining, lifestyle, and everyday needs. Local businesses include restaurants, tattoo and beauty shops, car services, a washateria, a new hookah lounge, and more. Businesses are open and welcome visitors to their tried-and-true establishments.

As you support local businesses in this corridor, keep in mind what is in the works for North New Braunfels! $13 million of improvements including:

  • Bus stop improvements
  • Improved intersections
  • Road reconstruction
  • ADA-accessible sidewalks with better connectivity
  • New utilities
  • Drainage updates
Gardopia Gardens

When speaking with Stephen Lucke, the CEO and founder of Gardopia Gardens, a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency designed to address the growing epidemic of obesity-related diseases and environmental issues, we spent the majority of our conversation speaking on the importance of mental health and our environment. Our surroundings impact our energy and even when gazing through the beautiful plants of Gardopia Gardens, the clear view of construction improvements is a reminder of what is to come for the area businesses and community.

We hope you’ll come out, stop by a local restaurant in the area, and enjoy an evening of health and happiness on the East Side.

By supporting these businesses now, they are able to sustain services in the community, even during times of construction improvements. If you’re unable to make it out to N. New Braunfels, you can always follow these incredible local businesses on social media and help spread awareness.
