Summertime in Texas is perfect for grabbing a bite to eat with friends on your favorite restaurant’s patio, but having live music can make the experience that much better. To make sure you get the most out of your dining experiences, we have compiled a list of restaurants that are not just tasty, but have weekly live music too!

Two Step restaurant and cantina, located at the the corner of Braun Rd and 1604, not only has great food and drinks, but features live music every Thursday through Sunday night. They also provide consistency by frequently bring customer favorites, Nick Lawrence, Bexar Creek Boys, and South Texas Review. Another perk is their sunset special from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. everyday, which includes $5 appetizers and discounted drinks.

For the next spot, just hop onto 1604 to get to Hofbrau at the Rim. Every Wednesday through Saturday they feature a variety of performers and are great about posting who is coming each month on its website. Hours for these particular days are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. with the music starting in the evening on the patio. You should also consider visiting this beer garden to try the signature drink, a dos-a-rita (basically imagine putting anything from a Dos Equis to a small bottle of champagne is a margarita).

If country is your favorite, The Grill at Leon Springs is the place for you! The grill features a variety, from old school to Texas country, starting at 8 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. If your prefer visiting on a weekday, they also offer music on the occasional Wednesday and Thursday. Check out the list of upcoming artists and dates on the website here. They also encourage dancing, so make sure you bring the right pair of shoes!

Stonewerks, located at the Rim, the Vineyard, and Alamo Heights, offers live music at all locations. While the Heights location plays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., the other two locations are from 8 p.m. to midnight. This means that no matter where you are around town, you should be able to enjoy a great meal and lots of music. Since the days vary, make sure you visit its calendar before you go. You can also keep an eye out for your favorite artists and choose the location for your visit based off of who you want to see.

No matter your food or music preferences, one of these restaurants should be able to provide you with a quality experience. However, if these spots are not on your side of town, stay tuned for another post on restaurants with live music that are located closer to Central and Downtown San Antonio.
