We know you’ve seen her on Instagram. Amanda Spencer, aka s.a.foodie, has been inspiring our dinner dates for months now!

ThaiDee_SAFoodieWhen I’m craving Thai, my first, second and third choice is always Thai Dee on Blanco Rd. I start with Moo Ping pork and sticky rice which is only on the dinner menu but can be ordered for lunch. I also love soaking their jasmine rice in the sweet and spicy Panang Curry with some fresh spring rolls on the side. A great alternative, or addition, is the crisp and cool cucumber salad. The staff Thai Dee is always super friendly and eager to please!

Alchemy_SAFoodieAt Alchemy, great flavor, and beautiful presentations is the norm. I don’t think I’ve ever had the same dish twice, so it’s difficult to make a recommendation, but I’ve always been delighted by their ever changing culinary creations. If you appreciate farm-to-table freshness, Alchemy goes one step further. Some of their produce is harvested from the garden near the entrance! Alchemy is truly one of my favorite places to take pictures because they always have creative new dishes and some fun craft cocktails.

Southerleigh_SAFoodieI absolutely love Southerleigh’s fried snapper throats accompanied by a flight of their microbrews! With exposed beams and pillars from the original Pearl Brewery, Southerleigh’s food and atmosphere make for a truly unique place that I like to take my out of town friends and family. A visit from general manager, Phillipe, makes everybody feel like they’re right at home.

Fruteria_SAFoodieThe Fruteria is a favorite fun spot for Mexican tapas and fresh squeezed juices. At The Fruteria, the colorful décor is surpassed only by the colorful and creative menu options. In my opinion, they have the best margaritas in town!
