Smoke Shack BBQ on Broadway

Us Texas folks love our BBQ and Southern cooking. Brisket, pulled pork, slaw, and of course, awesome BBQ sauce. Well, The Smoke Shack, located on Broadway St. and Pershing Ave., has all of that and more!

Choose from sliders, meat plates, sandwiches, and a number of sides such as spicy cream corn and vinegar slaw. Healthy slaw? Yep, it’s a thing at Smoke Shack, lightly tossed veggies such as cabbage and carrots in vinegar dressing. It pairs perfectly with the brisket and pulled pork meats, in our opinion.

And we can’t forget to mention their most popular (and most delicious) item on the menu: the “Smoke Shack Mac.” This plate of happiness is a heaping serving of mac & cheese covered in their chopped brisket and BBQ sauce. YUM!

The owners, Chris and Kate Conger, have been in the BBQ business for over four years. They decided to bring their love for feeding hungry, BBQ-loving customers to San Antonio. The restaurant offers a rustic feel and the aroma of BBQ can be smelled from the parking lot.
