We truly believe that if we want to see changes in this world, we have to start with our own city.

COVID-19 has left the City’s budget with funding shortages — $110 million over the next two years to be exact — and right now the City is literally asking us what services should be cut to balance the budget. ⠀⠀

If you live in San Antonio, click here to take the 2021 Trial Budget Survey where you’ll be able to rank City service areas in order of importance to you. The 10 areas are listed below // ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Animal services⠀⠀⠀
» Code enforcement ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Housing affordability programs ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Library services ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Parks and recreation⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Public health services ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Public safety services⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Senior and youth services ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Streets and infrastructure⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
» Support for small businesses

Last year only 8,693 people responded and of those respondents, only 15.8% were aged 25 to 34. This year, we are going to make a conscious effort to take part in conversations about the future of our city – are you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please, share this post. Let’s see if the City will truly listen to us.
