Travis Park, located in downtown San Antonio, has once again intertwined art and nature. At the beginning of the year, Mano Factura graced the grounds of the park and now the Art of Umbrellas art installation is soaring.
Bright colored umbrellas fly above your head while you walk through Travis Park. Your eyes face the sky as you admire the latest installation by Ethel Shipton, a San Antonio-based artist and McNay Art Museum employee. The playful umbrella canopy makes for the ideal background of any summer photo shoot. Shipton’s art installation will be up until the end of May.
