Broadway has just become more fashionable! The Southern Bunny, located at 4704 Broadway, opened on April 30, 2016 and we stopped by to talk to owner and fashionista, Jennifer Herrera.
Feminine, southern and sexy. These are the three words Jennifer used to describe the Southern Bunny, San Antonio’s newest boutique. The retail space which was previously a dry cleaning company, has been transformed and now features gorgeous racks of close against the wall, a large mirror to make sure you’re looking good in your new outfit, and beautiful smelling candles that fill the room and take the pressure off shopping quickly. Jennifer, a University of the Incarnate Word alum, is thrilled to be across the street from her alma mater.
“I had this opportunity and took a leap of faith. It was scary and it’s still scary! But you have to take that leap of faith.”
Everything featured at the Southern Bunny is under $150 and accessories range from $30 to $70. Of course we had to ask Jennifer what her favorite fashion trends were right now and she let us know rompers and maxi dresses with low backs are all the rage. Yeah, we will definitely be picking up a few of our favorite items at the Southern Bunny soon!
The Southern Bunny is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Jennifer prides herself in bringing in items that you wouldn’t find at the mall. Next time you’re on your way to your go-to mall, make a u-turn and come out and support this beautiful, local boutique!
