This morning we had the amazing experience to take part in the demo day for the 5K ThrillSeeker Stunt Run. Alyssa and I went down the world’s tallest, inflatable slide, raced each other on oversized tricycles, climbed up a slide on a rope and came tumbling down the other side, and zip lined onto a cloud.
The 5K ThrillSeeker Stunt Run, will be in San Antonio February 28th and March 1st. Every 15 minutes, 110 to 115 people will be set loose to experience all the thrills across the Stunt Run grounds. What will you find on the Stunt Run grounds? Here’s a sneak peek:
The world’s tallest, inflatable slide. Standing at 30 feet tall, this slide is a monster, and causes an amazing adrenaline rush. Appropriately named the Jumbo Flyer, our best advice is to launch yourself off as soon as you reach the top, before your mind has time to catch up with your body.
Flashback to your childhood days. Riding bikes around the block, racing your friends. Now multiply that times 10. At the Stunt Run, you’ll be weaving in and out of large cones on extra large tricycles. It’s tough at first, but once you get the hang of it, it will go down as one of the best bike rides in your life.
Rope climbing is fun, especially when you’re at a steep angle racing with all your strength. Mtn. Slippery may not compare to the 30 foot tall Jumbo Flyer, but on the Jumbo Flyer, you didn’t need a rope to climb to the top. At a staggering 15 feet, Mtn. Slippery puts you in a race against time and before you know it, you’ll find yourself falling over the edge, in the most exciting way possible.
“Grab onto the handle and jump!” That is exactly what you have to do at the Zip ‘n Slide. After you climb up the rope ladder, you’ll find yourself face-to-face with a handle hanging over a 25 foot drop. Grab onto that handle and jump off the platform! A slide will greet you at the end ensuring a soft, yet thrilling, landing.
The Stunt Run truly is an experience of a lifetime. We left feeling energized and excited about life in general. Must’ve been all those endorphins pumping through our veins.
Along with providing numerous cities with an experience of a lifetime, the Stunt Run has partnered with Be The Match®, a charity that connects patients with donors for life-saving transplants. After matching donors to patients, Be The Match® also provides support, education and guidance to patients and their families.
We didn’t have the chance to test out all the awesome obstacles at the 5k ThrillSeeker Stunt Run, but you’ll be able to this Saturday and Sunday! The Stunt Run is located at 5757 Highway 90 West. For a list off all the obstacles, click here, and to purchase tickets, click here.
