A passion for music, art and drinks come together at Ventura, San Antonio’s hottest new bar. Formerly the TenEleven, the bar located at 1011 Avenue B., has gone through a major facelift and has been transformed into a safe haven for the music community, and a place to get awesome drinks.
Brandy Perez, Michael Carrillo and Alyssa Linder are the masterminds behind Ventura. Michael, aka Mikey Vibe from the local band Deer Vibes, said the bar is a way of continuing his passion for music and being involved in a different area of the music scene. He wants to work with local musicians and artists from a place that can support the bands.
The Apple of My Eye, pictured a above, is a winetail composed of champagne, white wine and apple juice. Make sure you order the You Fancy Huh champagne and grenadine concoction as well! Ventura will also have food trucks on the scene Friday through Sunday.
The basic wall might be our favorite place to take selfies ever. If you follow us on Snapchat (TwentySA), you saw numerous photos of Jacqueline and I posing with the dog and flower crown filters. With the words basic in the background, take pictures at fabulously slimming angles guilt free!
Ventura’s soft opening is taking place Thursday, June 23rd. La Botanica is providing the food and Mike’s Harder Lemonade will be serving up drinks. Celebrate their Grand Opening on the 24th with live music from Hydramelody and 25th with music from Lonely Horse and more! On Sunday, come back for Ventura’s Brunch on the River with bottomless mimosas!
