Have you ever bitten into a Wagyu Filet Mignon? Unlike the steak I cook where you have to dig in with your knife, the meat from the Wagyu slips from your knife like butter in hypnotizing shades of dark red and melts completely in your mouth. Top it off with herbed tallow butter and you’re tastebuds will be satisfied for the week.
Morton’s the Steakhouse, located at 300 E. Crockett Street, recently released a new menu featuring – you guessed it – Wagyu Filet Mignon with herbed tallow butter. Other fresh flavors include the burrata, mango and heirloom tomato salad (pictured below and my favorite), seared Alaskan halibut with herb pistou, and roasted cipollini onions in a citrus glaze.
While I very much enjoyed the main entrees, my favorite part of the meal was the beginning. Before your menu selections begin, a huge onion loaf greets you at the table paired with the softest butter.
Morton’s dining room is opening Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 11 p.m.; and sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
