Rebelle, located inside the breathtaking St. Anthony Hotel, opened for lunch on Tuesday, December 8th. On Tuesday, we ran out onto the sidewalks of Houston St. and skipped over to 300 E. Travis St. to indulge in locally sourced, farm fresh dishes.
The interior of Rebelle matches that of Haunt, the St. Anthony bar. The dark interior is highlighted by a centerpiece bar with colorful bottles all around and lights delicately hanging overhead. The chairs are transparent with an R detail and a vintage staircase leads you upstairs. Colorful paintings and bouquets of fresh flowers add just enough brightness to the restaurant.
Rebelle’s menu consisted of tempting entrees, sandwiches, salads and small plates. After going back and forth between three entrees, we settled on the garlic-oregano gnocchi and short rib ragu with parmesan and basil. Other entrees include chicken in green curry, roasted pork shoulder sandwich, lobster and caramelized carrot bisque.
Lunch hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Rebelle’s regular dinners hours are Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturday.
