web__MG_2174Topgolf, the much anticipated entertainment hub, will be opening its doors to the public on Friday, January 30. While most of us have heard about Topgolf through social media and other outlets, what can you expect when you walk through the doors of this new, golfing sensation?

Located at 5539 North Loop 1604 West, Topgolf San Antonio is 65,000 square feet of pure entertainment. If you’re like Alyssa and I and don’t consider yourself a seasoned golfer, you’re in luck because Topgolf features a wide range of entertainment. The 14-acre site features 102 golf bays, 2,758 golf clubs, 255,000 micro-chipped golf balls, 250 flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, live music, a full-service restaurant and bar and games such as pool, shuffleboard, Xbox games and more.

web__MG_1891web__MG_1889Topgolf has intertwined golf and technology. Inside every golf ball are computer microchips used to track the distance and accuracy of every shot. Players will also be awarded points for hitting targets on a 215-yard outfield. Topgolf also features seven different point-scoring golf games for players to enjoy. Golf bays can host up to six players and every bay has a touch screen for game activation, ball dispenser, TV screens, and heaters and misters to keep guests comfortable. Golfing without having to check our weather app beforehand? We’re there!

The restaurant serves up a unique menu created by an executive chef and features Mushi (Mexican-style sushi), chicken & waffle sliders and injectable donut holes. Choose to fill your donut with chocolate, Bavarian crème and/or raspberry sauces. Bars are located on each of the three levels and boast 30 different types of beer and wine.

During its first year of operation in San Antonio, Topgolf estimates it will serve 450,000 visitors. Will you be one of those visitors?
